63/?? Childhood TV Shows You Should Watch
Title: The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show
Seasons: 1
Episodes: 16
Run Time: 30 Mins
Original Air Date: September 11, 1971 - January 1, 1972
Synopsis:
Set in the Stone Age, the series follows Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm as they face problems with growing up in the town of Bedrock. No longer toddlers, the two are now teenagers and have begun dating each other. The show focuses on them attending Bedrock High School and also getting their first jobs. Together, Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm form a musical band called the Bedrock Rockers. Unlike The Flintstones, it centers on the children of the family, rather than their parents.
My Rating: 10/10
My Reasoning:
Obviously, as much as I love the Flintstones I would love this spin-off just as much. I really like the concept of Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm as teenagers and just trying to deal with growing up but also still being in this interesting fantasy world of the Flintstones.
I really like Pebbles' character and I feel like I relate to her. Bamm-Bamm not as much haha but he's still likable. The whole idea of forming a band thing isn't my absolute favorite idea that they could have gone with. However, I don't hate it either. Overall, I love it and I wish they had made more episodes of it.

Cartoon Network Friday Spotlight: The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show- “Putty in Her Hands”
I still think that The Flintstones is a good show and deserves its roses, but the lightning in a bottle that Hanna-Barbera struck over its six seasons (really the first four) never translated to their other works for the characters.
The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show was the first spin-off made of the characters, ending 5 years after the original series ended, and they had remained extremely marketable in the interim, with their still-in-print cereals released that year and similarly available vitamins the year earlier. But while Fred and Barney were still around in this series (as stated by the theme song), this is really about the teenage versions of their children, with Pebbles voiced by Sally Struthers of All in the Family fame, and Bamm-Bamm by Jay North, the once and forever Dennis the Menace. They’re both good in the roles, although they’re not very exciting. Pebbles has a little more personality, taking after her dad’s penchant for hair-brained schemes, but their friends have a little more shade in their characterizations, if a bit bland.
There isn’t much to the show as a comedy, which is an even more watered down sitcom than its predecessor. In this one, Pebbles is jealous of Cindy, her frienemy who vies for Bamm-Bamm’s attention, and her art skills, so when she’s offered free sculpting lessons, that’s a yabba-dabba-doozy of a coincidence. It turns out that the “art teacher” is a scammer who’s planning a heist and is using Pebbles as a distraction, but she doesn’t notice or really care until things get too late. Additionally, while she first asks Bamm-Bamm to model for her soon-to-be-prized sculpture, it breaks quickly and he agrees to briefly be stuck in clay for her, and you can guess how that goes.
Seeing HBO Max drop the back half of the original series has put me in a bit of a Flintstones mood, so I’ve been rediscovering various parts of the franchise. This doesn’t have much to offer, though, but I’m sure it still has its fans, and you can find it on the Boomerang app.

During a girls' bonding session back in Bedrock with Pebbles Flintstone, Penny Pillar and Wiggy Moonstone
[Mise en scene: Some hot spring pools outside Bedrock revered by the locals for relaxation as much as relief from injury and tension. Which, in this case, is the scene of a "just among friends" sort of session as aforementioned. As the scene opens, Penny Pillar and Wiggy Moonstone are going into a wholly prehistoric sort of vaginal rub in a hot spring pool for the sake of friendship ...] WIGGY MOONSTONE, excitedly at the feel of her loins against close mutual friend Penny: Ohhhhh my stars ... I can certainly say that Venus will be rising this evening in such beautiful company!! PENNY PILLAR, chuckling at the sensation of the vaginal rub in hot spring waters: Ahhhhh ... nothing could get more delightful than this! [Pebbles Flintstone, for her part, takes casual and yet fascinated notice at the proceedings as she awaits her vaginal rubs ritualistic]

You know what always weirded me out growing up? Pebbles from the Flintstones.
Follow me on this one.
First, as a kid, I saw her start out as a little baby. Or "baboo" as your friend Lily adorably says.
Then when I was a teen and my family got Boomerang, I saw the Pebbles and Bamm Bamm show where the title characters were aged up into physically attractive teenagers. And by "physically attractive teenagers" I mean "copies of Daphne and Fred wearing, friggin', stone age clothes".
And then around my early adult years, I saw the movies I Yabba Dabba Doo and Holly-Rock-A-Bye-Baby where Pebbles was not only a grown adult but was promoted to being a, ¿cómo se dice?, milf.
So what weirds me out about her? I saw this girl go from being a baby to a babe, but instead of adding her to my persona roster of fictional crushes, I can't look at this woman and unsee her as a little infant. Doesn't help her baby form is more iconic, to the point where it's literally the inspiration for the Flintstones' cereal.
It's like some sort of weird equivalent of the Westermarck effect.
Be honest, Sketchy: does anything in this wall of text make any sense, or do I just sound bonkers?
Bonkers, no. Overly verbose? Yes.
You could have just said “because the vast majority of Pebbles’s on-screen appearances were as a baby, I can’t separate that from her depictions as a teenager or adult.”

Flintstone Fighters Part 4 — Bamm-Bamm Rubble
IT’S BACK! Finally!
So, a couple of weeks ago, I explained that I had a hankering to work on this series again—and I followed it, with this being the end result. I know a few folks would love to see Wilma, but I’ve already had the idea to work on Bamm-Bamm after working on Barney. I already had in mind that Bamm-Bamm’s was going to be based off of King of Fighters/Fatal Fury, but I didn’t want to model him completely off of Terry, so I played around with the idea and design. He did basically steal Terry’s vest, though, lol.
For his regular design, I utilized his design from the direct-to-video movies, with a smidge of design from The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show. One thing I didn’t like about his design is that while he’s supposed to be the strongest of the gang, they gave him noodle arms and legs. So you know I had to fix that with this design, where he actually looks like he’s supposed to be the world’s strongest fighter. I also had some fun giving him more “anime-style” traits in comparison to his parents, though, which is evident in the hair. And yeah, he gets some weird scars like Barney did, which is something that I’m thinking of explaining in the story’s lore whenever I get around to making it, haha!
Overall, I’m very happy with how he turned out! Next up on this list will be Pebbles, and then Wilma!
Enjoy!

12/?? Childhood TV Shows You Should Watch
Title: The Flintstones
Seasons: 6
Episodes: 166
Run Time: 25 Minutes
Original Air Date: September 30, 1960 - April 1, 1966
Synopsis:
The show follows the lives of Fred and Wilma Flintstone and their pet dinosaur, Dino, and they later on have a baby girl named Pebbles. Barney and Betty Rubble are their neighbors and best friends, and later on adopt a super-strong baby boy named Bamm-Bamm and acquire a pet kangaroo called Hoppy. The show is set in a comical version of the Stone Age, with features and technologies that resemble mid-20th-century suburban United States. The plots deliberately resemble the sitcoms of the era, with the Flintstone and Rubble families getting into minor conflicts characteristic of modern life. The show is set in the Stone Age town of Bedrock, where dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures are portrayed as co-existing with cavemen, saber-toothed cats, and woolly mammoths.
My Rating: 10/10
My Reasoning:
Is it too much to actually give it a 10/10 rating? I don't think so but feel free to disagree with me...everything is subjective anyway. I personally have always loved this show. It has stood the test of time and I think there are even younger people today that know about it somehow. It's a classic cartoon.
It has nice slice-of-life storylines while being set in an interesting time and setting. It's like those old-school sitcoms (which is its intention) but with a unique twist. I find the characters entertaining and pleasing to watch. I also feel like they are pretty relatable in any time period. Although, I must admit sometimes Fred would get on my nerves. That was the style of the "father" character in those days though.
I also really enjoy the aspect of modern things reimagined as if they were built during the Stone Age. It was always humorous to me.
Bottom line, you should watch it!

I don't recall ever seeing Jabberjaw, David Cassidy or The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show
But dammit, the theme songs of the rest have lived rent free in my brain since the 1970's!

A family of Protagonists by Cliffather Via Flickr: Warning! WALL OF TEXT!
My M.C. William & family in Dynasty Warriors8empires1040 L to R: Safire(5th child twin of Ishaq), Berney(3rd child of Wilma Sue), Kedward(2nd child), Will Jr(1st born), William(father), Wilma Sue(mother), Wilona(Will Jr's wife), youngest child Justin and Ishaq(4th child twin of Safire) They are from the royal bloodline of their Patriarch primogenitor, Wildestaar Savyer www.flickr.com/photos/cliffather/26353123024/in/dateposted/. See the their Antagonist family here: www.flickr.com/photos/cliffather/26399078564/in/dateposted/ UPDATED!
I planned back in the '80s for Wilma Sue(mother) to have two kids, Will Jr & Kedward, after watching "Spiderman & his Amazing friends' in my 'tweens, her children's list started to get larger.
The reason why I decided she would have a lot of boys was because of the '80s mindset of MEN being superheroes. Please remember most '70s/'80's CARTOONS had one or no superheroine with SEVERAL male superheroes: Superfriends( not including the made for tv female characters), Silverhawks. Tarzan. The Herculoids, Dangermouse, The Flying House, Superbook, Thundarr the Barbarian, "Teen Force" of SpaceStars, SINBAD JR. AND HIS MAGIC BELT,
Popeye - The Sailor-man(The All-New Popeye Hour), Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids(Brown Hornet), He-man ad the Masters of the Universe, Smurfs(until season5), Blue Falcon & Dynomutt, Jabberjaw (reruns limited viewing), Wacky Races(reruns limited viewing), Speed Buggy( reruns limited viewing), Batman and Robin(animated), The New Adventures of Zorro(animated), Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers, the Centurions(tv), Space Ghost, Blackstar, Battle of the Planets, Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, StarBlazers, The Transformers, and LIVE-ACTION: Ambassador Magma (aka SPACE GIANTS).
First, THANKS to the '80s Jem and the Holograms, Thundercats, Scooby-Doo(re-runs), Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels, Josie and the Pussycats(reruns), The Mighty Orbots, Pound Puppies, Pole Position ('84 TV series), Dungeons & Dragons('80s cartoon), The ROBOTECH series (My middle brother's quest to collect the complete series on VHS started his buying Anime in the'90s) The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show(Re-runs the inspiration for Tyra's & Wordsworth's Time travel stories), Laff-A-Lympics, Shirt Tales, Bionic Six, Tiger Sharks, GI Joe, and She-Ra was one part of my female inspiration.
Second, WATCHING ANIME during the '90s such as Battle Angel Alita, Nuku Nuku, Armitage III, TENCHI MUYO{started my anime collection in '95 to aid my middle brother anime collecting by getting the other anime series he couldn't get}, Hyper Police, Magic User's Club, Devil Hunter Yohko, Vampire Princess Miyu, Genocyber, Galaxy Fraulein Yuna, Gunbuster, Neo Ranga, 801 T.T.S. Airbats, Luna Varga, Maris the chojo, Sukeban Deka, Bubblegum Crisis, Battle Athletes, Battle Skipper, Wanna-Be's, Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water, Iczer one/reborn, metal fighter Miku, Patlabor(My catgirl /AD&D character is named after the main character).
Sailormoon(bootleg), Magical Knights Rayearth, MOLDIVER, Phantom Quest, Project A-ko, Burn Up W, Super Dimension Century Orguss, You're Under Arrest, Oh my Goddess, The Dirty Pair, Hyperdolls, Cardcaptor Sakura(bootleg), Ghost in the Shell(The ORIGINAL ANIME movie), 3x3 Eyes, GALL FORCE, Silent Möbius(series), Virgin Fleet, Key - the metal idol, Saber Marionette J, El hazard, SLAYERS, Cutey Honey, Ayane's High Kick, Sakura Wars, Sol Bianca, Dangaio and Gunsmith cats where females were the main character or main action characters despite some of these anime having "fan service" in them(Anime WAS aimed at young males btw) was the second part of female influence. www.flickr.com/photos/cliffather/1286716235/in/dateposted/
Lastly, Streetfighter II's CHUN-LI, KOF's Athena Asamiya(Mai Shiranui), Soul blade/Calibur's Sophitia (Cassandra) Alexandra, Darkstalkers' Felicia, Samurai Shodown's Charlotte, Dead or alive's Kasumi, Waku Waku 7(import) Arina Makihara, Phantasy Star(series), Rival Schools' Hinata Wakaba & Kyoko Minazuki, Fighting Viper's Grace, Battle Arena Toshinden's Sofia, and World Heroes' Jeanne D'Arc were the third part & great influence (some of my OC's personalities or names comes from them)
Note; Unlike the 2010s' SJW's influenced shows/movies/games, they didn't insult/weaken male characters or make the female characters look/act like men. Because of these shows, games & *mostly ANIME* I started creating MORE females and improving my created FEMALE characters.

Headcannon for a teenage Pebbles Flintstone
Whereupon we find her waking up some morning wearing the prehistoric equivalent of pyjamas and heading off towards the toilet ... to find Baby Puss, the Flintstones' pet sabretooth tiger (as if Dino wasn't good enow a housepet), greeting her rather admiringly (and showing quite the smile of satisfaction, even as Pebbles strokes Baby Puss' rather furry body, as leaves Fred Flintstone gasping in wonder as to whether Baby Puss is spending a little more overnight time among the local feral sabretooths--especially of a romantic sort) ...

Possible Flintstones Reboot
Good evening everybody. As of recently, I had begun reminiscing about the Flintstones. More specifically, the grand finale movie: Hollyrock-a-bye Baby. I bought off of Amazon and watched it from start to finish. Needless to say, I loved every minute of it. The point I'm trying to get at is: what ever happened to the new Rubble family after that? More specifically: Chip and Roxy Rubble?
If there was ever a time to launch a reboot, it would be now. So my idea for a reboot would a Flintstones series centered around Chip and Roxy Rubble with their parents Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm as supporting characters. It would be in a manner similar to the Pebbles & Bamm-Bamm Show from back in the 70's with just a hint of Flintstones Kids & Regular Show mixed in for good measure. Maybe even feature a callback to the original Flintstone/Rubble gang who've probably long since passed away by now; especially Pearl Slaghoople.
The first half of the season or so could feature the kids growing up in a prehistoric version of the 90's since that's when they were born and the other half would feature them as teens/young adults leading up to the present day. Who knows, maybe they'll start families of their own. It would put them in the same positions their parents were in at the movie's end; life really is a cycle people.
I mean Supernatural had 15 seasons; so surely this show would be worthy of such a feat. It would be interesting to see how the new Rubble family's life is like post Hollyrock-a-bye Baby. Not to mention see Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm as senior citizens, given that the former's 61st birthday was a couple months ago this year.
I get that Warner Brothers wanted to do something similar to this back in the day, but scrapped it for whatever reason. I kinda get it: life's a never-ending cycle and this had to stop somewhere. Even so, now seems as good a time as ever to launch a series about the next generation of Flintstones/Rubbles. If not, it would make a great idea for a fanfic series if anyone else is willing to take that on.
As I've stated before with my last post regarding the modern stone-age family, The Flintstones was Hanna-Barbera's prehistoric representation of life; from its symbolic start to its triumphant end. As such, this possible reboot should be given the respect and love its predecessor had back in its prime.
